This challenge has been so much fun and I have learned a great deal about drawing faces. I don't even feel bad that I didn't paint any - it was fun to just draw for a change! Now, back to painting! I have applied to 2 juried shows, and should find out if I am accepted during the second week of March. Keep your fingers crossed!

Forgot to post #4 last night. And here is Sparky, #5. both Carbothello pencil on paper. I think the next challenge I need is hands - notice the cropping!
I have signed up for a real challenge this month - called "30 in 30" which means I have committed to creating 30 paintings in 30 days during the month of January. Whew! I have to confess I am already behind because January 1 snuck up on me, but here is my first piece, and I will catch up at some point in the month. This is something a little different for me, watercolor pencil. I was inspired during the holidays by an artist I met at the Walnut Creek Artist's Market who uses this medium, Nancy Post Hunter. She is an artist and illustrator and does amazing work! Click here to purchase this new work. |
