![]() I took this photo a few years ago on the way back from Yosemite. It's a place our family would go when I was a kid. It was a tiny Colombian restaurant in the foothills near Cathay's Valley and they had the most wonderful steaks. But the best part was watching them serve coffee to my parents - from about 4 feet above the table!! Never spilled a drop. Chibcha's, 6x6, oil on panel.

Black Diamond Trail
oil on canvas, 8" x 10" $65 I was so lucky today to have the chance to go OUTSIDE and paint with my good friend Patsy Taylor. While Green Bay and the Niners are battling bitter cold, it is a balmy and dry 64 degrees here in the Bay Area. Very dry, in fact this painting in a normal year would feature emerald green hills but as you can see, still the dusty gold of summer. My photo does not really accurately show the color. I will try to take a better one tomorrow in sunlight. It was a fun day and change of pace for me - back to oils!! Check out Patsy's work here - she is amazing! |
